CCPA / CPRA Privacy Rights

Last updated: [Month Day, Year]

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you specific rights over your personal information. This page explains those rights, what we collect, and how to submit a request.

01

Who This Applies To

This page applies to California residents whose personal information we collect through thedailyfintech.com (the "Site"), including newsletter subscribers and visitors who submit a contact form. It supplements our main Privacy Policy, which applies to all visitors regardless of location.

02

Categories of Personal Information We Collect

In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information, as defined under CCPA/CPRA:

Category Examples Collected?
Identifiers Name, email address, IP address Yes
Internet/network activity Pages viewed, time on site, browser type, referring URL Yes
Geolocation data Approximate location (city/region level, via IP) Yes
Commercial information Purchase history, products considered No
Sensitive personal information Government ID, financial account, health, precise geolocation No
Protected classifications Race, religion, sexual orientation, etc. No
Inferences Profiles reflecting preferences or characteristics No
03

Sources & Purposes of Collection

We collect personal information directly from you (e.g. when you subscribe to our newsletter or submit a contact form) and automatically through your use of the Site (e.g. via cookies and analytics tools). We use this information to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site
  • Send newsletter content you've opted into
  • Respond to inquiries and provide support
  • Understand Site usage and performance through analytics
  • Detect and prevent fraud, spam, or security issues
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations
04

Do We Sell or Share Your Information?

We do not sell your personal information, and have not sold personal information in the preceding 12 months, as "sale" is defined under CCPA/CPRA.

We may use limited third-party analytics and, in the future, advertising tools (such as Google AdSense). Under CPRA's broader definition, certain advertising-related data sharing with third parties may be considered a "share" even without a sale taking place. If and when advertising is enabled on the Site, this section will be updated accordingly, and a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism will be made available if required.

05

Your Rights Under CCPA/CPRA

As a California resident, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Right to Know

Request what categories and specific pieces of personal information we've collected, used, and disclosed about you.

Right to Delete

Request deletion of personal information we've collected from you, subject to certain legal exceptions.

Right to Correct

Request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.

Right to Opt Out

Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not currently sell or share personal information.

Right to Limit Sensitive Info Use

Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by CPRA.
